The most common complaints about cash-pay GLP-1 telehealth are not about the medication — they are about billing: surprise price jumps after month one, hard-to-cancel subscriptions, charges after cancellation, refused refunds. Most of that is avoidable if you ask first.
Confirm in writing
Is the price introductory or ongoing? What will refills and higher doses cost? Does the plan auto-renew, and when? How do you cancel — portal or phone? Is advance notice required? Are refunds available before the pharmacy processes an order, and after? Is there a separate membership fee? Does a low price require a multi-month or annual commitment?
Why writing matters
A verbal quote is hard to enforce; an email or screenshot is not. Before entering a card, save the page stating the price, cancellation policy, and refund window. If a provider will not put terms in writing, treat that as information too. These questions apply to every provider equally. Use the full billing-transparency checklist →
